Organizing the largest exhibition of the world in the greenhouse agriculture sector in Türkiye, Informa Markets will hold the Growmach, Tractor, Agricultural Machinery, Equipment & Technology Fair at Anfaş Expo Center in Antalya, Türkiye, on 10-14 October 2023.

Informa, one of the biggest event organizers in the world, organizes more than 450 face-to-face and digital international specialist events. In addition to the agricultural exhibitions organized worldwide, Informa also organized Farm Progress Show in the USA, Agrishow agricultural machinery in Brazil, Sahara Expo in Egypt, Asia Agritech in Taiwan and Growtech, the world's biggest exhibition in the greenhouse agriculture sector, in Türkiye; and, thanks to its experience in the agriculture sector, it included Growmach, the new and international fair of agricultural machinery sector, in its series of global agricultural fairs.

Global Agricultural Machinery sector and international buyers will meet at the fair

At Growmach, which will be helonfor the first time on 10 to 14 October 2023, sectorial professionals from the Middle East, Africa, Balkans, Europe, North & South America, Russia and CIS Countries will meet the cutting-edge technologies and new products.

Exhibition Director, Engin Er, talked about the fair: "At Growtech, the world's biggest exhibition in the greenhouse agriculture sector, we have allocated a space for the agricultural machinery companies for the last 3 years, even if it is a small space. The companies that participated as exhibitors in this area were highly impressed by Informa's operating model and Growtech's international visitor profile. They demanded that we organized a separate international agricultural machinery fair increasingly every year, by expressing the potential and requests of Turkish agricultural machinery sector to get into international markets.

For this project that we postponed for 2 years due to being interrupted by pandemics, we elaborately analyzed visitor and exhibitor expectations and the target markets of the agricultural machinery sector. Furthermore, we established a strategic business partnership with AgroTV Türkiye, which holds the thematic TV network in the target markets for both visitors and exhibitors. In addition to the traditional advertising works, we organized several events, like joint roadshows, international conferences where sector trends will be mentioned and an international award ceremony, in the period of one year until the fair. We dived in the sector within a really short time through our professional approach and international perspective. We achieved 55% of the m2 we targeted for the 3 months when we started selling stands. We are so pleased that we will introduce a new excitement on fair organization to the agricultural machinery sector and an international fair to companies to develop their businesses and increase their export rates by finding new markets."

An important step for the sector

Manufacturers in the agricultural machinery sector want to increase their exports

Growmach Exhibition Director, Engin Er, stated, "Agriculture, equipment and machinery sector, representing one of the major foreign trade items of Türkiye, increases its share in export, as a sector. While its share in Türkiye's export ranked 31st in 2001, it escalated to rank 15 in 2020. We witness how the sector that shrunk during the pandemic pursues a growth target in respect of manufacturing and export this year. We, as the fair, target bringing export-oriented visitor profile and potential new dealer candidates to our fair.  We continue our preparations so as to provide maximum benefit to the exhibitor companies in the sector."

Fair exhibitors to have new commercial opportunities

Tractor and equipment manufacturers, as well as companies operating in the fields of pre-harvest and post-harvest machinery, precision agriculture technologies and machinery, digital agricultural platform and services, will attend the fair. Visitor profile of the fair consists of agricultural manufacturers, dealer candidates, distributors, agricultural business owners and foreign investors planning to invest in the Turkish agriculture sector.
